Whisky Tasting

A Community Event

For Heatherside

There will be three tastings events -with a small group of seven people at each event. They will take place early in 2025 on Friday evenings from 19.30 lasting about 1 ½ hours(ish).

Sorry, all now sold out!

  • Event 1 28 February 2025 Sold out!
  • Event 2 7 March 2025 Sold out!
  • Event 3 14 March 2025

If you missed out on the February & March 2025 events but are interested, please send us a message.

The tasting features five 30ml single malt whiskies at least 46% abv, from five of the six whisky producing regions of Scotland; Highlands, Islands, lowlands, Islay & Speyside, which have been matured in a variety of cask types.

Alongside these excellent introductory drams (chosen by myself) will be a little information about regional flavours and how to sip, taste and discover some of the wide variation of smell and flavours. Complimentary canapes (please be mindful of any allergies) are also included with this tasting experience.

The five whiskies are Glencadem 10yr, Port Charlotte 10yr (peat), GlenAllachie 12yr, Arran 10yr and Kingsbarns nas. These are quality and  affordable single malts suited for the curious, beginner and also for those more experienced with a chance to revisit or try something new.

I have done my very best to keep the cost down to the bare minimum, but I think at £19, this is still very much below what you’d experience in London and elsewhere – and you can walk home after!

The idea is to try something new and different within our community. I’m not an expert by any means but just want to share my enthusiasm for whisky. Hopefully you’ll enjoy the evening, learn a little something and be in good company.

So, if you’re still interested after all this then please see link below to book a place.

NB Depending on interest I will arrange for more events before the summer and again around this time next year (RUM!).

If you have the time, please leave a comment about your experience here (anon) or on our FB Residents’ forum (I’ll take my chances).
